Micaela describes herself first as a writer- writing the stories of her patients everyday and giving truth to their struggles, needs, and words.
As a physician of color, she is very dedicated to celebrating the stories of physicians of color re-defining medicine. Link coming soon for her active project <speakHER, which aims to use HER stories in doctoring as bridges to support a network of women and women of color in medicine.
